Moments in Time

Today is my littlest man's 2nd birthday.

Oh how the time flies by, making just a whisper. I think being a parent is not about training children, but about them training you.

They are training us that time must be appreciated. It must be noticed, and documented. Time is a one way road. We can not go down it again. There's no turning around because you got lost.

As I go through today, remembering that day two years ago that this little boy came into the world and became a part of our family... And as I try to clean up the house because it's Monday and I've locked told my kids to go outside and play while momma cleans...

I remember that it goes by so painfully fast.

And that the kitchen floor will get dirty again.

But my 3rd baby will not be two again.

So I put the mop away and I hug my babies and I kiss them because the gift I have been given is to precious to waste.

Wishing you a Monday filled with precious moments of time,

Meg

Dang! Happy birthday to the little duder.
I feel bad for totally not remembering.... I must get him something!

Food. He likes food. I'll do that.

I always think you were in labor longer than it took for him to turn two. :) I think every single birthday is like that. No matter how old they get, you always remember. I like that you said, time goes by with a whisper. Maybe we would pay better attention to the passage of time if it was like a parade.
So glad you stopped cleaning house and played with the boys, you are so wise beyond your years.

Wow, what a collage of pictures! He looks so much like a miniature of your brother that it's scary. I'll bet he has fun tomorrow! :-)

These are classic. Love the potatoes and the little pampered-sweetheart peeking through the fence. :D

You're a dream mom, Meg. :)

You have no idea Meg! Hug them tight, pile bricks on their heads... they still just keep right on growing until before you know it you're giving them away... We gave one away last summer and suddenly 20 years seems like a blink. So yes, put the mop away and play, and take lots and lots of those precious pictures.

Blessings, Debbie

going to have to turn you into the authorities
