A Little Curtain

Remember the fabric from Friday? I used it to make a wee curtain/valance for the kitchen.

I've been wanting something over the windows in the kitchen for awhile, but... well... curtains aren't always approved.

So I made it, hung it up, then asked Ben's opinion. At first he was kind of unsure but said I could keep it. Then a bit later he said it was nice to have something decorative in the kitchen.

I'll make a few more to go over the other windows once I get the curtain rods. And maybe one to go over the door.

It's such a nice little bit of fabric to soften up the kitchen and make it a little warmer and more friendly.

Have a great Tuesday,
Meg

Yay!!! Curtains!! I love them, they looks so cute. I can't wait to see more. So sorry, that you married into a family that the men hate curtains. :(
I am so glad you understand my pain. Haha

That's such a nice splash of color in that white, white kitchen. I'm glad he let you keep them up. They're nice and short and won't get in the way or anything. :-)

I LOVE it! Red and white make a kitchen so cozy, but still fresh and clean. You have not taken any light away, either. How utterly sweet! Great job!

I found two ultra-sturdy white wooden chairs in the trash last night and I'm going to take Trisha's idea over at Roundabout and recover them with either material cut from an old denim dress I have or a light linen colored material I have in my stash. Inexpensive but homey!

I love the red gingham valance. Just enough color without blocking out a lot of sunshine.
