Merry December!

Guess what we did last night!

This was the first year that the kids actually payed attention to what was going on. Daddy asked if they wanted to put the Christmas tree up and Jack very sweetly says "Yes please!" (It makes my mommy heart swell when they use their manners.)

So Ben went out to the shed to get dig it out (yes we have a fake tree) and the boys plastered themselves to the door, watching and waiting. When Ben brought out the box on the dolly Jack very excitedly and jumpily and breathily said "It's... the... CHRISTMAS TREEEEEE."

We decorated and had them put on ornaments and it was just so much fun to watch the boys light up.

And now, I would like to share with you the story of how I woke up this morning.

6:04 - Tromp tromp tromp tromp tromp.
6:04 - Tromp jingle tromp jingle tromp jingle.
6:05 - Tromp tromp tromp tromp tromp.
6:05 - Tromp jingle tromp jingle tromp jingle.

After a few more times of this, as I groggily figure out what's going on, Mama stands in the hallway and waits...

Tromp jingle tromp jingle tromp jingle tromp *looks up* jing.....

"Hi Mamom. Have... this... *Duder guiltily hands me an ornament*"

"Go put those back on the tree."

"OK."

Happy December everyone!
Meg

LOL! That's so funny! My corresponding 2 year old has been busily dissecting every ornament she can get her hands on. As we only have about seven ornaments, this annoyed me a lot. It must just be the age.

Your tree is so pretty, I bet it was so fun. I love your story. Yep, that is why I have no breakable ornaments because of that. They just have to touch and play with them.
Yes, Meg, still sick.
I have about given up on getting well.
I will be over soon.

I guess that's where the tree goes. I love decorating the tree too!

Very cute story. I'm sure the ornaments will be juggled around a few more times before the holidays are over. Lol Also, the living room looks great.
