365 Project :: Day 40

I was a seed-stitch dis-liker (hate is too strong of a word) awhile ago. But I think I've been converted now that I see how charming it is on soft yellow cotton yarn.

This is absolutely beautiful! You're going to entice me into picking up knitting needles one of these days ;)

That is a very pretty stitch! Why did you dislike it so much?

That is just beautiful. I want to see you do that stitch. I have never seen anything like it before.

Kess: To make that stitch it takes one knit, and one purl, over and over and over. So switching back and forth constantly used to be kind of irritating. But it's not so bad now. Kind of soothing actually.

Indeed! My sister's favorite color is that soft yellow. She once knit a malabrigo sweater with it while vacationing by the sea. She was in love with the yarn. But when she went to wash it, the woman at the knitting shop told her to spin it for a minute in the machine... which sadly my sister did. The lovely yellow sweater is now four sizes too small.

p.s. seed stitch looks like popcorn for dolls! Love this.

p.s. Did I tell you I made those chocolate chip oatmeal cookies you featured on your blog a few days ago? Oh... YUM!
